Postcards of Walpole Calendar Available Now
This calendar is the seventh in a series produced by
the Walpole Historical Society. A departure from the previous six,
which depicted historic houses in the town, this calendar draws from the
extensive collection of postcards in the Society's archives. The
calendar starts with a brief history of postcards by Ray Boas, and shows
some of the buildings and life in Walpole over the years.
The calendars are on sale at the Village
Variety/Sunoco, Murray's Restaurant, Galloway Real Estate, Walpole
Village Market, Real to Reel Video, and the Museum Gift Shop for
$10.00, with a price of $8.00 each for purchase of three or more.
In Keene, the Toadstool Bookstore has the calendars.
They are also available by mail upon request to WHS, Box 292,
Walpole, NH, 03608.
Copies of earlier editions may be obtained for $5.00 each at the
Museum Gift Shop in the Academy Building on Main Street.
Proceeds from sale of the calendars benefit the Society’s fund for
renovation of the historic Academy Building, built in 1831.
