The Gift Shop at the Academy
We would like to thank Judy Schumway for all her work over the past years as
Gift Shop Manager. We appreciate all Judy's work in bring in great new
items and updating the appearance of the Shop. We also want to thank
Bonnie and Charlie Keefe for volunteering to take on the responsibility for
the Shop.
You'll find new treasures in the Gift Shop. There are new and exciting
additions including DVD's of Ken Burn's "National Parks", "Images of
America: Walpole", the new pictorial history of Walpole published in
2009, and the Historical Society's 2010 Calendar, "Postcards of Walpole".

You'll also find some of the popular items we had in
previous years: Journals with Molly Bellows on the cover, as well as Molly
magnets. The photograph of the paining in our collection was taken by
Lowell Bauer. These items are perfect
mementoes of Walpole to give as gifts to a friend, a relative -- or even
yourself. We also have pierced tin lanterns, sconces and light
fixtures, more candles in additional colors, and new designs in Cindy Hendrick's
enchanting line of greeting cards.
We have a novel that is perfect for summer reading:
The Other House
by Rebecca Hooper Eastman. This novel takes place right here in
Walpole. The member of the author's family, Rebecca Hooper, lived in
town and was married here in 1912.
